Turkey’s Electronic Visa Process

As of April 17, 2013, the Republic of Turkey launched its electronic visa system, leading to a growing demand among international travelers for Turkish e-visas. However, the Turkish e-visa is not available to all nationalities. While some passport holders cannot apply at all, others may be eligible under specific conditions. Similarly, citizens of certain countries must meet additional requirements before submitting an e-visa application.

These conditions include:

– Traveling for tourism or business purposes,
– Providing proof of a return ticket and hotel reservation covering the entire stay in Turkey,
– Demonstrating financial means by showing proof of at least 50 USD (or equivalent foreign currency) per day at the border,
– Holding a valid Schengen visa or residence permit, or a visa/residence permit from the USA, UK, or Ireland,
– Traveling only with specific airlines based in Turkey,
– Possessing a passport valid for at least 6 months from the entry date,
– The applicant being under 15 or over 45 years of age,
– The passport’s validity covering the entire stay duration,
– The passport being valid for at least 3 months beyond the e-visa’s validity,
– Entering Turkey only by air.

These criteria vary by nationality, making the e-visa application process complex. Errors or incomplete applications can result in visa rejection or invalidation, causing significant disruptions.

Submitting an incorrect e-visa application can lead to serious issues. Travelers with invalid visas may be denied boarding, resulting in wasted expenses for flights and accommodations. In more severe cases, an individual who boards a flight due to an oversight at the departure airport may be denied entry upon arrival in Turkey and deported.

Applicants initiate the process by completing a preliminary application form on our website, which collects only basic information.

– Eligibility Assessment:
The submitted information is reviewed to determine whether the applicant meets the criteria for an electronic visa.

– Redirection to the Detailed Application Form:
Applicants deemed eligible for an e-visa are directed to a comprehensive application form, where more detailed information is required.

– Consultancy Package Selection:
Applicants select a consultancy package based on their preferred processing speed and priority level. Fees vary depending on the level of service chosen.

– Combining Visa and Consultancy Fees:
The Republic of Turkey may charge a visa fee for certain nationalities. This fee is added to the consultancy fee, ensuring that applicants make a single payment transaction instead of handling multiple payments separately.

– Payment Security Checks:
To prevent fraud, all payments undergo rigorous security checks, using both automated verification systems and human oversight.

– Review by Our Expert Team:
Once payment is completed, our expert team carefully reviews the application details. If any missing or incorrect information is identified, the applicant is contacted for corrections before submission.

– Submission to Official Authorities:
The reviewed application is submitted to the Republic of Turkey’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs e-visa system.

– Refund for Rejected Applications:
If the application is not approved by the official authorities, both the consultancy fee and any applicable visa fee are refunded to the applicant in full, with no deductions.

– Delivery of Approved Visas:
Once the application is approved, the electronic visa file is uploaded to the application tracking system. The e-visa is also sent via email as a PDF and an SMS notification containing a download link is provided for easy access.
